Church Worship Strengthening

Missionaries of Worship

Greg and Heather Hitchcock serve as Church Strengthener missionaries, in partnership with the North American Mission Board (NAMB), in the area of worship ministry, providing excellence in modern worship leading, worship team consulting and development, vocal consulting, guitar instruction, and inspirational teaching and writing.

Called to Excellence

Psalm 33:3 says, “Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy!”  This passage of Scripture defines Greg and Heather’s multi-faceted ministry goals as missionaries to the local church:

  1. Challenge all participants in worship ministry to sing a new song in their hearts to the Lord daily as a living sacrifice unto Him, and in every service opportunity within their church
  2. Equip both worship ministry leadership and volunteers to utilize and maximize their musical abilities with the utmost skill and devout stewardship in an effort to create an inspired and authentic personal and congregational worship experience
  3. Motivate worship ministry leaders to transform their ministry through renewed vision, and thoughtful preparation and organization which yields joy-filled service
  4. Encourage worship ministry volunteers to embrace their service to the Lord with enjoyment, significance, and as a higher calling upon their lives

These goals, when implemented into the church worship ministry, are instrumental in facilitating a worship environment where the Lord can draw believers unto Himself through His Spirit in conviction of sin, submission to His will, and renewed fervor for living boldly as a witness for Him in a lost world.  Further, this environment allows the Gospel message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to be communicated clearly without distraction or hindrance to the unsaved and cultivates the opportunity for them to receive Christ through their worship experience.
